If you’d like to meet in person, that’s great too! Just remember to come back to your account to book and confirm your care in order to keep your payment and personal information protected and secure.

  • June Care Hosts set their own rates. Rates vary by geography.

You can find June Care Host rates on their profile. If you see a Host with a “flexible” rate, that means the host is willing to be flexible in terms of rate and will work with the family who is booking care with them.

After connecting with a host, you can discuss the rate and schedule in more detail. Final rates and schedule are confirmed as part of the booking process.

Once a booking is complete, June Care will confirm final hours (for the week) with the June Care Host and then request payment from the family and remit payout to the host. Payment details:

    June Care Families:

    • 10% service fee is applied to your weekly June Care Payment for the first year of any match. Annual membership fee may apply.

    June Care Hosts:

    • 0% service fees are charged to June Care Hosts.

    • June Care charges a one-time $15 prior to a host’s first booking.

** Remember. Never pay in cash or pay outside of June Care. Payments and bookings completed outside of June Care are not protected by June Care’s Terms of Service, or the June Care Guarantee. Completing care outside of the platform also jeopardizes both families’ status on the platform and may result in removal from June Care.**

  • As a parent and a primary caregiver, you have the best, first-hand childcare experience!

You do not need any additional formal childcare experience to host with June Care.

  • During the pandemic, 2M women left the workforce, many of whom are moms who need to earn income for their families. Additionally the prohibitively high cost of childcare often prevents some moms from being able to pursue their own careers.

We started the June Care Company to create a new way to think about childcare, together. Moms who want to (or need to) stay home and earn an income caring for their kids +1-2 more can now do that. And moms who want to pursue opportunities outside of the home will now have access to trusted, affordable and enriching child care.

We are excited to be able to empower parents who love being home with their children to continue to do so while contributing to their communities AND earning an income.

  • The June Care cancellation policy was created with our users and hosts in mind. Please email us at support@junecare.co if you have any questions about the following:

Cancellation fees for June Care seekers (e.g. parents booking childcare). June Care bookings canceled with less than 24 hours notice (from the start of the first day of care) will be subject to a cancellation fee equivalent to the full amount owed to the June Care Host for the first day of care - based on hours booked - plus June Care’s 10% service fee. This fee is applied and remitted to the host, since it is unlikely that June Care will be able to re-match that host with such short notice.

If the care is rescheduled for a later date, the cancellation fee will be credited back to the care seeker and applied towards their next booking (not including June Care fees). In the case that the care is canceled due to illness, no cancellation fee will be charged (please communicate with June Care and your June Care host if you need to cancel due to illness).

Cancellation policy for June Care Hosts (e.g. parents providing childcare). In the case that a June Care Host cancels care with less than 24 hours notice, the cancellation record will be noted in the June Care Hosts’ profile (with the exception of illness). June Care tracks the number of matches booked and number of cancellations (only applied to cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice). Frequent, last-minute cancellations could result in the removal from the platform.

  • June Care is a platform for families and caregivers to connect for caregiving jobs and each member is individually responsible for any tax, withholding, or reporting. We are not an agency and do not employ caregivers. Consequently, June Care does not provide a W-2 or 1099 for caregivers.

  • Please note that when it comes to the end of year taxes or FSA reports, we share June Care’s records or EIN in correlation to the fees paid directly to June Care. It is our understanding that to claim caregiver hours and the payment made for tax or FSA reimbursement purposes, you will need to obtain the SSN of the June Care Host and June Care Hosts would need to provide that to you on an individual basis. Please refer to June Care’s Terms of Service for additional questions.
